Thanks to concerted grassroots pressure, the result of many of your efforts, there are now several leaders in Congress standing against pressure for another illegal-alien amnesty, but the nation continues to be in danger of a giant amnesty until Congress adjourns this month. It still appears that there will be no direct vote. The threat is that an amnesty will be attached to an end-of-the-year spending bill. The White House and congressional Democratic leaders are pushing for an amnesty that would reward 1.5 to 3.4 million illegal aliens with a green card and path to U.S. citizenship. This would then allow the amnestied-aliens to bring in hundreds of thousands of their relatives, adding to the population of our cities. Further, amnesties entice millions more people in other countries to become illegal aliens. There are already some 6 million illegal aliens in this country contributing to overcrowded schools and housing, another illegal alien amnesty will only worsen our sprawl and congestion.
