GENERAL INFORMATION - Dr. Cort lives in Mountain Brook, Alabama with Deborah, his wife of 18 years. He is a member of Cahaba Fellowship and is active in medical missions to Africa, and he is a member of Gideons International, which distributes free Bibles worldwide.

Dr. Cort is a lifelong Republican, a member of Physicians for Life and a member of the President’s Club of the Republican National Committee.

 

Dr. Cort is a Christian conservative who believes in traditional values, he strongly supports a pro-life amendment to the U.S. Constitution banning abortion and a pro-marriage amendment stating that marriage is between a man and a woman only. He is against raising taxes and for reducing government spending. He is pro-business and is in favor of tort reform to reduce frivolous lawsuits.
